And, then, here we are at her graduation from Appalachian College in '03. I was crying.

Eruptions from a People-Pleaser
F#@k it. You know, my whole life I have been a people-pleaser and I recently realized, OMG, I am even doing that lame-ass shit on the internet! My layout has been pretty and nice and pleasant. Well, I hate pleasant. Always have. I think it's Stepford-y. And, to be quite honest, I am sick of most things in life, but, I pretend. Those closest to me will not be surprised by any of this, only in the fact that I am being so openly honest about it. Thank you, Adam & Sara. You have always encouraged me to speak my mind and, now, I am finally making a conscience decision to do so. And, even though you would say that I do already, well... I still hold a lot in, don't I, Adam? Nothing changes overnight, so tune back in for more eruptions! Hahahahahaha......... (evil laugh)

Okay, so every day I take a 3 hour nap because I have no energy due to the fibromyalgia. Well, today we're celebrating Dad's birthday down at their house around late afternoon/dinnertime. So, this morning, I'm talking to Mom on the phone (who by the way was at the office AGAIN) and she asks if I'm going to be able to come down tonight. Well, I know she only asked because I did not go down to their Labor Day cookout, but, come on, it's Dad's birthday! So, I tell her that yes, I will there because I don't think Dad would forgive me if I wasn't. So, THEN she says, "Well, I was just asking because maybe you should take your nap early then." DUH!!! I asked her, "Mom, how dumb do you think I am?" I swear... I know it seems like a perfectly innocent "reminder" (the term she uses), but she does that crap ALL THE TIME! I am 37, for God's sake!!!! Talk about over-protective. Geesh.
